Chromakopia review

Image
Better late than never, right? (Sorry Rob) Chromakopia is an interesting album to me. Not only is it interesting because of the layers upon layers of themes and messages within the lyrics, but because it's a style of music I've really only recently given a chance. I only really started listening to contemporary rap and hip-hop near the tail-end of last year, and even then it was very little of it. But this album in particular has been crucial in letting me understand why people enjoy the genre so much, and why it's so popular in our modern day. I'm yapping entirely too much, I should just start the review already... after a bit of background on the album, of course. Chromakopia is the 8th studio album released by the one and only Tyler, The Creator , known for eating mayonnaise and getting interviewed by Nardwuar . It released on October 28th, 2024, and had 2 singles release alongside it in the form of Noid and Sticky , the latter track featuring GloRilla ....

News sources and worries and whatnot

I don't really have a main place where I get my news, I just absorb it from the various people and online places I frequent. Occasionally I listen to the news when I'm getting ready in the morning or I stumble on some big news while sifting through the trash heap that is Twitter. Usually I see a post about how X is affecting Y and do research on the news it's referencing, if I care enough to check, that is. Who am I?

Hi.     I'm Chase Ellis, born in '06 and consumed by the internet, mostly consisting of video games and brain-rot. I've been borderline obsessed with video games, internet culture, and fictional history of fake places (also known as Lore) for various pieces of media. Beyond that, I played the oboe for 8 years from 6th grade in middle school to senior year of high school,  I dabble in art, and enjoy Dungeons and Dragons. I'm going to LB, mostly so I can get a job that won't slowly kill me, but also to meet interesting and like minded people. I think I'm going into a New Media Communications degree, but considering I'm very indecisive (and lazy) there's a chance it could change.     What I'm most interested in learning about media and culture is just how many people don't know how to properly use or engage with media. As somebody who's been on the internet for over a decade I'm pretty versed in what constitutes as "rage bait" or ...
